Association of Nottinghamshire Private Hire Operators

Efforts to establish a trade association have been tried several times over the years, only to flounder due to lack of support.

Following on from the success of the local drivers association, (the NPHA formed in 1999), a number local Private Hire business's felt the time had come to form a trade body to address the many issues faced by the trade.

During much of 2002, meetings were held enabling local PH bases to come together and discuss a way forward, and to establish a modus operandi. September 2002 saw the formalization of a new trade body, as named above.

Meetings are generally held on a bimonthly basis where items of interest are discussed, and a way forward for such matters to be approached.

Membership encompasses a cross section of local PH bases, accounting for in the region of 850 Nottingham City Licensed drivers.

An 'Associate' category was included within the Constitution of ANPHO enabling *vested interest - non - member's to contribute towards the trade through improved lines of communication for the betterment of the trade an all involved. 

*Non-member category--Individuals or companies wishing to participate in ANPHO for mutual benefit and support.
