FAIR'S FARE!

The fares charged to customers by the drivers of Private Hire (PH) cars, are set by the  company providing the service you have called. (Unlike the prices of the Hackney trade, which are currently set by the *Local Authority). *In accordance with the Town Police Clauses Act of 1847; Section 68.

If you use more than one (PH) company, you may find some variation in the price charged for the same or similar journey.

Private Hire companies, like any other company need to be competitive, and of course, try to keep within affordable limits.

The Price Guides schedule is offered as a GUIDE only, to the fares you may be charged. In offering this information, it should be understood that the CENTRE of each location named, is that upon which we have based our guide, THEREFORE, when traveling a little further, or a little less ............................ and so on and so forth! 

These figures have been provided by the members of the ANPHO , and cannot be related to any other provider.

If during any journey, delays are encountered, this will reflect in the final fare. Car park charges / London City Congestion Levy etc, are excluded from any of these prices; as will waiting time. These will be added to any fare charged, should this be incurred by the driver, for instance at Airport car parks.

Additional charges may be levied to take account of:

            Provision of a special vehicle. i.e. an Estate Car / Executive Car / Limousine etc.

            The carriage of animals. (Guide dogs for the blind exempt)

            Assistance with loading. (At the discretion of the driver) [Public Liability] Notwithstanding any condition of license.

               Waiting time

            Due to any special instructions received from the customer. (Please state at the time of booking)

Payment:

                Customers should have the means to pay for their fare when a car arrives / before the cars leaves.

                *Exceptions.

                When making bookings for *OTHER than a local pick-up,  you may be asked to pay IN ADVANCE. 

                *For instance being taken to or collected from a location outside of the city. (Usually called a 'Distance' job)

                In some circumstances, drivers may ask for payment in advance, at the beginning of a journey.

PLEASE NOTE:

There are factors that are beyond the control of drivers, for instance, Road Works.  Therefore, should you ask, or agree with a driver to deviate from the normal route or direction, this WILL reflect in the final price you will be asked to pay.
