The NATIONAL LINK to our local Private Hire [PH] (Taxi) services

For YOUR Private Hire Bookings

WHAD-DOO-YOO-NO ?

Do you know, the Private Hire trade is acknowledged as a part of Public Transport.
Do you know, we fulfill many roles that buses are unable to do.
Do you know, most of our customers agree we should be able to access the same area's/streets as the
Hackney and bus services, and during the same times.
Do you know, the majority of 'Taxi' work within the city boundary, but beyond the city centre is MOSTLY
handled by the Private Hire trade.
Do you know, what the Nottingham City Centre CLEAR ZONE is?
Do you know, the Private Hire trade are PROHIBITED access to the CLEAR ZONE between the hours of 8-00 a.m.
and 6-00 p.m. this RESTRICTS the service we have ALWAYS been able to offer YOU, the PUBLIC
until October 2002.
Do you know, Since October 2002, we have been PREVENTED from and are UNABLE to ACCESS the centre of
the city to assist customers with: short and *long term disabilities; Large shopping
items; For security; For your general convenience; In Emergencies; *Many without / unable to
obtain a Blue (Disabled) badge.
Do you know, Nottingham City Council are considering FURTHER RESTRICTING access, East & West through
Parliament Street to buses and cyclists only?

The Private Hire trade understands the need for progress; until all buses can offer the same flexibility of
service  we currently offer, and have been doing for many years; should the public be denied the FULL service
we can provide NOW?

Do you know, the Private Hire trade must take customers, (when approaching the train station from the west
of the city) *VIA CANAL ST. / LONDON ROAD / STATION ST; AND NOT MORE DIRECTLY  up via
CARRINGTON ST; This route being used by the Hackney trade! This is the policy of Nottingham
City Council!
This *EXTRA distance adds UNNECESSARY COST to customers trips, and on occasions, lead to
trains being missed due to heavy traffic on / around the London Road island.
